Ozzy Osbourne taught us that being "different" isn't a flaw, it's your superpower.

His WILD stage antics (like biting heads off bats), and his unfiltered honesty, made him unforgettable.

As a life leason, don't hide your quirks, instead, be like Ozzy, and turn them into your legacy.

Personal Experience

My journey with Ozzy began tragically late (just one week before his death). During music class, my teacher Camus and classmate Pablo started jamming to "Crazy Train". Camus tossed me a keyboard, grinning: "Hey, why don't you play with us?"

I spent days obsessing over those riffs, unaware it'd become a memorial.

Then, last wednesday August the 13th, before our regular classes, me and my classmate Andrés played on the keyboard the haunting and legendary intro of "Mr. Crowley" during the initiation period.

From Birmingham to Immortality

Born in a working-class Birmingham attic (1948), John Michael Osbourne clawed from poverty trough music. As Black Sabbath's frontman, he birthed heavy metal with earth-shattering anthems like "Paranoid" (1970). Their sound was a lightning bolt, dark, loud, and brutally honest.

But... His solo career? Even louder. Blizzard of Ozz (1980) give us "Crazy Train", a song that still fuels school music rooms like mine.

Something that I have to confess is that, while writing this blog, I have been listening for hours some tributes for Ozzy. For example, the following tribute is the one that I want to share with you, because it was the first video from Youtube in which I started listening to Ozzy Osbourne. The Man Behind the Screams

Ozzy's life was a war zone of contradictions because he struggled with addiction, survived a quead-bike crash that broke his spine, and fought Parkinson's since 2019. His motto? "I'm still standing, motherf**rs!".

On the other hand, his humanity. Behind the "Prince of Darkness" persona lived a devoted family man. The Osbournes (2002-2005) showed him microwaving leftovers in bat-printed pajamas. Finally, he openly discussed mental health,telling fans: "Your demos hate sunlight. Shine on 'em!"

Farewell to the Prince of Darkness

When Ozzy died weeks ago at 76, the world didn't just lose a rockstar, we lost a mirror to our wildest souls.

His death taught me: Legends outlive flesh. They echo in keyboard practices, courtyard riffs, and every time we choose authenticity over approval.
